Pastel Mood

Chizumi was moving to a new apartment.
    "Hey, Chizumi! Don’t stand there, I can’t get in!", Gohoji was carrying a table.
    "Okay, I’ll go", Chizumi moved to other place.
    "Don’t go there, I will put the table there". Chizumi turned back but she stumbled over some books and she fell down.
Gohoji put the table, Chizumi saw some books near Gohoji’s feet and intended to take them, but Gohoji shouted at her, "Don’t walking around!", suddenly he slipped and fell down.
    "Uh, so..you.. wanted to take these books?", said Gohoji in pain.
    Fujiomi came in, "What’s up?".
    "Nothing, I’m just careless", Gohoji continued his work.
Chizumi wanted to help them but Fujiomi asked her to take a rest and put her on a chair.
    Then he gave a doll to Chizumi,"This is the doll I brought. Look after it, don’t let it get away"

Chizumi’s friends heard their conversation. They were surprised, they never thought Fujiomi could make a joke like that. Chizumi’s sister also came then she went to buy some drinks for them. She asked Gohoji what to drink, Gohoji answered it with red face.
    "If Gohoji speak to sister, his attitude change", said Chizumi.
    "I’m weak of beautiful girl", said Gohoji, still with his red face.
    "Yeah, her sister is so beautiful…."
    "Miura! Don’t!"
    "What?"
    "I know your habit. After this, you will say, ‘Compared to her careless sister….They were born by the same parents, but they are so different’. Don’t say that thing!"

Chizumi's friend felt guilty when she looked at Chizumi

    "The neighbor is very busy. Who’s moving?", a woman looked at Chizumi’s apartment, she was surprised, "Fujiomi!".
It appeared the woman was his manager in Kendo club. Fujiomi introduced the woman, Noriko Arisaka, to Chizumi. Chizumi gave her a drink, then Chizumi gave another one to Fujiomi but she dropped the can. Chizumi took the fallen can and gave her can to Fujiomi.
    "Wait! Don’t open it!", Fujiomi warned Chizumi but Chizumi has opened the fallen can.
The drinks spread and make her wet. Noriko thought Chizumi was very careless then she lent her shirt to Chizumi.

After they finished taking all the items, Noriko asked Fujiomi about working as private teacher.
    "Fujiomi will be a teacher?", Chizumi was surprised. "Yes, his student is my cousin. She is in third class of Senior High School. I don’t have time to teach so I ask Fujiomi"
Noriko explained to Chizumi then she went away.
    "Talking about teacher, she will teach too’, said Chizumi’s friend.
    "High school student?", Fujiomi asked Chizumi.
    "No, she is elementary student. Her mother always laughs when she looks at me"

The mother kept smiling when she took Chizumi to her daughter’s room.
    "Nanami, your teacher has come".
Then the mother went out.
    Chizumi and Nanami were having a conversation,
    "Mother does it again"
    "Is my face so funny?"
    "Not because your face is funny but because teacher’s feeling resembles Nanami’s. Mum said that teacher’s attitude is the same as Nanami’s attitude, a child who acts like an adult. Does teacher understand it?"
    "Uh…yes, but I am an adult"

    Then they started studying, but Nanami asked Chizumi again, "By the way, does teacher have a boyfriend?". Chizumi was surprised and dropped the pencil box.

Noriko was showing Chizumi the supermarket,
    "This is the supermarket. If you want to buy fish, it’s better to buy it at the fish shop"
    "Thank you. I have been brought everywhere. I don’t know the area so I feel very thankful"
    "Never mind, I also want to go shopping"
Chizumi wanted to buy frozen food. When she took the food, her hand touched the inner side of refrigerator and stuck at it. Chizumi was panic but then her hand can be pulled out.
    Noriko watched Chizumi and said, "I thought Fujiomi’s girlfriend was a calm and adult person. That person is suitable for him. But you are careless and childish. It’s far from my imagination, you are like father and his daughter"
Chizumi became sad.
    "What’s the matter? That’s just my opinion. Don’t think about it. I am an outspoken person."
    "Noriko", a man called Noriko, "I have something for you".

    Noriko turned her head, "Tomoyuki".
Then Noriko introduced Tomoyuki to Chizumi. He was in the same club, Kendo club.

Then Tomoyuki went away.
    "He wrapped the pendant with a dirty handkerchief, then he pretends to shop at supermarket. That boy is strange, he speaks what he wants and then goes away. He is younger than I am but he seems to like me. Maybe that’s the reason", Noriko smiled.

    "According to weather forecast, it shouldn’t be rain today", said Chizumi to Fujiomi.
They were taking shelter. Chizumi suggested going to her apartment so Fujiomi could borrow an umbrella.
    "It’s better that way", said Fujiomi, then they ran to Chizumi’s apartment.
Chizumi noticed Fujiomi was running at the outer sidewalk and protected her.
    ("At the time like this, Fujiomi is always great. I feel thankful and respect him. Fujiomi, his face which seldom changes and his calm character, what does he hide?").

Chizumi gave a towel to Fujiomi then she wanted to make some drinks, but she acted careless again and dropped the pans. Fujiomi came and helped her.
    ("I always be careless").
    "Are you hungry, Fujiomi? I’ll cook something", said Chizumi.
But the salt was run out so Chizumi went out to buy it.
    ("Like father and child, I ever dreamed about that thing. Fujiomi is walking in front of me then I hold his shirt from the back and run as fast as I can")

    "Fujiomi, sorry to make you waiting", Chizumi came in and saw Fujiomi has slept.
When Chizumi took a blanket, she dropped the doll.
    ("He said he didn’t have enough sleep yesterday. His student doesn’t understand English very well. Because of thinking an easy way to teach, he slept over the night.").
Chizumi gave the blanket to Fujiomi then she took the doll.
    ("His face is really innocent like a baby. At this time, I think I can follow Fujiomi").
Chizumi looked at Fujiomi and smiled happily.

    ("I ALSO FELL ASLEEP !"), Chizumi woke up and saw Fujiomi was looking at her.
    "Fujiomi, when did you wake up?"
    "Um……, just now. I don’t realize when I fell asleep. When I woke up, I saw you were sleeping beside me holding a doll. I don’t want to wake you up"
    "I brought the doll because it fell down and I wanted to return it. But…do you feel I am a childish person?"
    "That’s not what I mean", Fujiomi smiled and kissed Chizumi.

Noriko was in a park looking at the pendant when she saw two men were trying to take advantages from some girls. But then Fujiomi came and helped the girls.
    "Wow, Fujiomi is really great", said Nanako, his student who came with her.
    "Nanako!", it appeared the girls were Nanako’s friends.
Nanako wanted to show Fujiomi to her friends so she took Fujiomi to the park.
    "But he already has a girlfriend, hasn’t it?", asked one of her friends.
    "Yes! But I’ll keep trying. Support me , okay?"

    "Nanami, the curry is almost ready", Chizumi was cooking.
Nanami’s mother went out so Chizumi took Nanami to her house. Chizumi saw Nanami was sleeping and holding the doll, she was reminded of Noriko’s words and became sad. At another place, Noriko was thinking. She imagined Chizumi as a picture made with pastel color by a child meanwhile Fujiomi is a peace black and white picture. Then Noriko saw Chizumi and her friends were in hurry because they thought the movie has already started. Chizumi made acts careless again. Noriko just looked at her and thought Nanako will not be so careless and quite pretty.

    "Senior…that’s enough for today. I’m tired, let’s have a conversation", said Nanako to Fujiomi.
    "But yesterday it also like this, you can’t improve"
    "It’s okay. Please senior". Fujiomi breathed a sigh.
    "No way, open your book"
    "But I’m tired…"
    "Open it!", Fujiomi starred at Nanami

Chizumi found Nanami’s mother was sick and couldn’t take Nanami to the temple on celebration day, so she offered to take Nanami to go to the temple. Nanami wanted to see Chizumi’s boyfriend so Chizumi called Fujiomi. Nanami’s friends passed and saw Chizumi tried to call Fujiomi. Chizumi acted careless again, she put a small coin in the big coin’s hole. Then aster finish talking with Fujiomi, she walked away and hit a pillar.
    Nanami’s friends laughed, "Is she really Fujiomi’s girlfriend, it’s clear that Nanako will win".
Then they said Chizumi as a tiny sea fish and left Chizumi who stunned.

Chizumi went to supermarket and saw Tomoyuki was speaking to Noriko then he went away. Chizumi called Noriko, it appeared Tomoyuki asked Noriko to come to the temple together.
    "I also will go there with my student and Fujiomi"
    "Huh?"
    "You don't want to go?"
    "Who said like that? Of course I’ll go"
    "By the way, how about the pendant he gave yesterday?"
    "Here it…..it’s gone!"
    "Don’t you remember where you dropped it?"
    "I don’t know…I….Well what we can say, it’s has already gone. It’s okay, beside it’s not worth at all". Then Noriko left Chizumi.

On celebration day, Chizumi took Nanami to the temple. On her way to the temple, Chizumi stumbled and fell down.
    "Teacher! Are you okay? Forgive me, it’s because I ran", said Nanami.
    "I’m okay, it’s not because your fault".

Suddenly, Chizumi saw the pendant in the sewer.

Chizumi and Nanami were stuck in crowded people but then Fujiomi came and helped them. Meanwhile Tomoyuki who was waiting for Noriko was teased by his friends. His face blushed, Noriko saw them and went away. Back to Chizumi, they were playing a game, then Chizumi saw Noriko.
    "Fujiomi……Wait here! I want to give the pendant to Noriko", then she chased Noriko.
    ("Noriko, she saw me and Fujiomi as father and child, like that dream. Since that time, my hand was detached from Fujiomi. I can’t see him and at that time, I was awakened")

    "Noriko!", Chizumi called Noriko.
    "Chizumi...", Noriko turned back and saw Chizumi.
    "You haven't met Tomoyuki, have you? Here!", Chizumi gave the pendant to Noriko, "I found it in the sewer near station. It's a little dirty but it will be clean if it's washed"
    "I don't need this thing!", Noriko threw the pendant away and left Chizumi.
    (" I don't need that thing! I thought........ Tomoyuki always speaks shy. I knew..... the girls were just his friends. I'm jealous....because I want his shy face only be mine").
Suddenly Noriko realized what she has done to Chizumi.
    ("Chizumi! I..what have I done? She tried to return the pendant from Tomoyuki but I didn't think about that. Because annoyed by another thing, I act like that. 'You are childish'. No! Who is the childish one!")

While searching for Chizumi, Noriko met Nanako who came with her friends.
    "Nanako"
    "Fujiomi said he wants to come here with his girlfriend so we come here to see them. Have you met them?"
